The traction sheave of Observation Elevators refers to the sheave on the traction machine. It can also be called the traction sheave or the drive sheave. It is a device for elevators to transmit traction power. The friction force of the rope groove on the sheave flange transmits the power. So what are the conditions for the material of the elevator traction wheel.

Because the traction sheave needs to bear all the dynamic and static loads of the elevator car, counterweight, and load capacity, the conditions for the traction sheave are that its toughness, strength, and wear resistance must be good. Due to its impact resistance, QT60-2 ductile iron is mostly used in the selection of materials. This is to reduce the wear of the traction wire rope in the traction sheave groove. In addition to choosing a suitable groove type, there must be reasonable conditions for the hardness and roughness of the working surface of the rope groove.

The overall traction wheel is divided into two parts, the middle is the drum (drum), and the outside is made into a rim-type rope groove and cut on the rim. The outer rim and the inner rim are connected by hinged bolts. Together, it forms a traction wheel as a whole. In fact, the shaft of the traction wheel is the worm gear shaft in the elevator reducer.
